TPD MoneyCentral Portfolio

If you wish track your investments using MoneyCentral Portfolio, take the following steps:

Enter http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/home.asp in the address bar; to make this your "home" page: click on "Tools", "Internet Options", under the "General" tab "Home Page" section, click on "Use Current", "OK"

On the "Investing Home" line, click on "Portfolio", "Deluxe Portfolio"; the software will then download to your computer

                    Delete the "sample" account; click on the account line, "Edit", "Delete"

Click on "File", "New Account", "Regular", "Next", enter your choice of account name, e.g. "Dividends", "Next", "Cancel"

          Go to drop down box "View", click on "Create New View", "Remove All"

Click on each of the following column names one at a time, in this order, then click "Add>>":

News, Symbol, Quantity, Average Cost, Last, Cost Basis, Market Value, Price Appreciation, Income, Dividend Yield, Change, Today’s Total Change, Memo, Industry

After all column names appear on right side, click "Save As", enter your choice of "View Name", e.g. "Dividends", "OK"

Recording Stock buys: click on the account line, "Edit", "Record Buy", enter stock symbol and requested information, "OK" or "Record Another"

Updating the "Memo" column: double-click on the investment line, click on tab "Notes", enter the data from the TPD topic formatted as follows:

for a monthly dividend: P M .$$ Y $.$$

for a quarterly dividend: "P mm/dd Q $.$$ Y $.$$

                    Click "OK"

Click on the "Memo" column name to sort your investments by cash dividend payment date.
